Tis The Season

Succulent (Style terrariums): I have been making these….it’s fun!
I personalize them with little signs (Thank you or Happy Birthday).
• Glass (Dollar Store$1.00/each)
• Cactus Soil
• River Rock
• Signs (popsicle sticks/paint/construction paper)

Personalized Gift Baskets:
• Tuscan Herb, Olive Oil
• Fig, Balsamic
• Glass pourer for both oils. What’s neat about this…that there is a glass blown shaped as grapes inside the bottle, that you store the balsamic. When filled with Olive Oil. It looks as though there is a grape bunch inside the bottle (if this makes sense).
• Hickory Farms (spread)
• Plant (real) and Flower Ruby red (fake)
• Cranberry Nut (trail mix)
• Paper white Bulb Kit
• Gold Snowflake Ornament
Basket lined with a Gold Table Cloth

Laser Hair Removal!

To everyone who knows me or doesn't. Yes....I am too much!
I have decided to buy myself "laser hair removal" for the holidays!

Bikini and Arm Pit's!

i love it and it doesn't hurt at all! I would get waxed and want to cry every time and I was surprised how bearable the laser felt.

Out with the "NO Pain No Gain"....in the Spa!

I was going to post a photo but thought it was to revealing:) Therefore i posted a more modest picture. I promise this a photo of my body....:)

Since hair follicles grow and regrow in a cycle and only growing follicles are affected by treatment, even the most sophisticated laser hair removal treatments require multiple sessions to ensure full effectiveness. A normally recommended six-session course of laser hair removal treatment, with sessions separated by seven to thirteen weeks depending on the area to be treated, will ensure the best possible results

I LOVE NEW YORK! Support Your Local “81” “Santa Cruz”

Katie and I went to New York but stayed in New Jersey!
Our weekend away was to primarily visit her half sister(s) Lee/Laura and biological mom Lisa.

They were all very generous and hospitable. It was like we were kids all over again.
We ate like crazy…We went to the Theater “Adams Family”…We checked out the Empire State Building…We Shopped…We Drank…We took Cabs & Limos…We ate at the Famous “Cat’s Deli”.

Support Your Local “81” “Santa Cruz”
I will start off by say “GO GIANTS”!!! They won the first game of the World Series.

Well I flew back into town on Tuesday and you would think I would rest on Wednesday! BUT that’s not me….who am I kidding.
After work and having a McFlurry with Sheryl at Lunch. I stopped by Sheryl’s to have a couple of beers and watch the Giants & Rangers game!
BUT I committed to a comedy show with Geoff and Alia! I was cruising to the Down Town Improve, to Meet up and they wanted to ride Motorcycles.

I then cruised to our good friend Quinn’s house and Rode on his bike. YES! I had a couple of Beers! Dressed in Work Clothes which were nice jeans, Sweater and Leopard Loafers. Definitely not motorcycle attire to say the least. Quinn was nice enough to keep my styling in a RED “Support your local 81” Hells Angels Sweat Shirt. I clashed a little with the leopard loafers.

We rode to the Improve to see their friend Jason perform. It was fun…BUT…on our way home the Harley’s battery died on the freeway. So here we are on 87 in-between Virginia and Race St. Cars Flying All around us!! AND I see a clearing and I tell Quinn let’s push. It was crazy…I was pushing his bike as he is guiding and pushing at night on the freeway. AND I will be 30years old in 6months. Sometimes I wonder if I have a death wish.

Alia and Geoff we waiting for us and we had to sit on the side of the road. Well until Brian was amazing enough to pick us up.

In all this cause. I committed calling xoxo and I am sure he thinks I’m insane. Could you imagine getting a call with some chick saying all of this AND then ok have a good night…I the sweated tone possible, with the loud freeway noise in the back ground. I truly am a classy gal!

Gold Grill vs False Teeth

I receive a phone call from my father (aka Tata) this morning.
A phone call that ended up costing me $2,500.00 Big American Express Dollars!

Funny Story He said….
My mother went to my dentist and has to replace her dentures (she’s going to kill me for blasting this…sorry mom).
The poor woman hasn’t been to a dentist in over 40years. She finally goes and Yes her teeth are old. The way she was talking about her new teeth….were as if she was talking about gold!

Here’s the punch line! Teeth are not cheap GO TO THE DENTIST. I have a good idea of this because my parents didn’t take me to the dentist for the majority of my life. Don’t worry momma and tata I spent well over $2,500.00 to fix my teeth:)

I love my mom and I couldn’t nor wouldn’t live with myself… if I didn’t hook her up with a grill. How could I rock a LV, Tag Watch and my mom’s not have the basic’s.
Mom’s I love you and don’t feel bad….you do need a grill no need to cry or feel embarrassed for asking. As Long As It Is Not Another Sweater!

A gold grill cost about $1,000.00 vs False Teeth $ 2,500.00? Decisions!

…I will post a photo of my mom finally smiling. She says she doesn’t smile because it’s too embarrassing with her old teeth AND that they may fall out.
I swear my life. You can’t make this up!

EAT ME Sat Night!

Saturday, October 2nd “Brownies & Odd Numbers” 2010 OR 2006

Well… It reminds me or 2006. When we couldn’t wait to get a Saturday night started.

What’s up Dock!

Let’s start by saying where did July GO? I haven’t had a minute to really do much…other than being a grown up! I thought I would give the low down from the last couple of months.
July 10th was my brother’s wedding. Love:) Finally completely done with weddings! Yes…way too many. I truly am happy for everyone but need a break.
Went swimming like a crazy woman and was able to hang with my family pool side. Which makes me very happy! Camping this month…super fun with old friends. Haven’t done that in years!
Got Tattooed…Yes. It’s still not finished. Went again in August thinking it was my last appointment but it wasn’t. I swear my next apt. is the last!
…then in between July and august with seeing Blondie, B52’s, E-40, Q-Citizen, 6 Birthdays…, packing, bingo, dentist apt and clothing store openings and art shows. Oh and more importantly I am in contract with my condo.
Life is good. Busy but good!

Maid of Honor = Katie’s Bachelorette Party!!

For those who know me… I’m flashy but not Whoo! Hoo! I’m wearing a vale or drinking out of a pe*is straw. I’m not a total square and us ladies will have plenty of fun.
To the point….
I wanted to make her sign that said bride! A sign of class and not trash….vintage/traditional of knowing who is the bride on this occasion called a “bachelorette party”. So that’s what I did…I had this idea a heart shaped doily that I can pin on her with “Bride” stitched ever so lovely on it. The only problem is …I am unfamiliar on how to stitch and I wanted it to turn out perfect. I struggled all week trying to figure this out !OH! AND I am making friendship/bridesmaid bracelets for all 20 ladies!

Yup! I had over extended myself….Thank goodness for nancy and her mad stitching skills (one of her many talents). Nancy was sweet enough to stitch Bride on the doily AND it turned out ever so lovely, just how I imagined it!

...Very Fun!

Thanks ahead,
Zdenka"

keep your fingers crossed...XOXOXO!

The funniest person in the world…my mom!

I sat in my mom’s kitchen after a long day of work….Eating (of course) and observing what was going on around me. My sister Tina on her laptop, my sister marina sitting next to me, kids running around like it’s a zoo, my tata on the bbq AND of course my mom in her uniform (apron) cooking in the kitchen.

Another crazy story! Last Sunday my sister marina swore that someone was trying to break into my parents house through my nephews room. My parents didn’t believe her and blamed it on my brother AND him trying to pull a practical joke on them. Well a few nights later my Mom hears tapping on the window and someone trying to push the window! Yup. My sister was telling the truth and the size 13 foot print in the dirt was proof. Oh! keep in mind their neighbor was robbed a few days ago. His laptop was stolen and my mom was saying that the other neighbor said it was his wife because he must watch porno on the computer.

TO continue…they put a alarm in yesterday and my mom was saying how in “all my life..I never experienced this, babe I didn’t sleep all night” then she stops in mid sentence pull out a Thousand Island Dressing AND has a smile on her face! Telling us “remember that I used to buy this in Portland”.
I wish you were there to see it! it’s funny how a thousand island dressing…can be so sentimental to her.

Mommas at The Blank Club

Posted by Picasa

Mammas Night out...Mother like daughter!
I received a phone call on Saturday February 6, 2010 from my sister….letting me know that my mom was going to the Blank Club! My mother Ljubica better known as Violet! Loves Johnny Cash & a cover band was playing that night.
If you know my mom… this was quite different. She never stays up past nine AND she had a great time!
I love my mom! She has a story for just about everything. They don’t make them like her anymore and I am glad she’s my mine.

I had made prior commitments but had to stop by to take a quick photo!

Mask of Japan, Hannya: Tattoo

Hannya

The hannya mask is the vengeful and jealous woman turned demon. Pointed horns, metallic eyes and teeth, and the expression all exhibit the full wrath, anger and resentment of her nature. The origins of hannya masks may have come from early snake masks but most likely the image was taken from painted hand scrolls of stories and legends of the Muromachi period. In fact one of the oldest hannya masks is dated 1558. Of course the most prominent feature is the horns. Even to this day a hand gesture of two index fingers sticking up from a man's forehead is an indication that his wife is mad at him or jealous. There are many variations of hannya masks. The coloring of the face also signifies the degree of passion in the demon's anger. For example, a more reddish color indicates strong resentment and anger and is used in such plays as Dodoji and Kurozuka, whereas a paler color would be more appropriate for Aoi-no-ue. Dodoji is the story of unrequited love between a woman and a priest of Dodoji (temple). She turns into a demonic serpent who wraps her body around the temple bell consuming it and the priest in the process.

* State of Grace, Jill
(I was recently asked, to take a photo of my tatoo.)
* Tattoo, is on the upper left thigh.
